In this century, in which the world has become opened and interpenetrated due to the means of transports and the telecommunications, so that some thinkers had the pleasure to say that the world became an only big village, whereas others, like us, consider the world as enormous town with its suburbs...
In this century, the Lebanese or Arabic has to be competent in one language or more, between the international languages, in addition to his mother tongue, the Arabic.
For that purpose, Lynn Matar has accomplished his big work, and has prepared a legal and economic dictionary, that is a real encyclopedia, in this field, and all what is related to, titled, The Courts’ language.
This dictionary is distinguished by what follows: 1- It adopts as a trilingual the English, French, and Arabic languages, and puts the word its signification in French and Arabic.
2- It consists, if we can say, in three dictionaries, that means that you can find in, English, French and Arabic terms in the three languages English, French, and Arabic, so that each word from these three languages, finds its translation in the two others.
3- This trilingual contains legal expressions, in addition to technical phrases, legal key-words, and legal adages adopted in the principal laws.
4- There are, furthermore, some famous Latin expressions adopted especially in the English and French languages. Thus, jurists and economists could find in it what they could search, as used words in front of the tribunals, and in the world of law and of business.
Further, this work is necessary, not only for lawyers and judges, but also, for the students of law, and the persons carrying out economic, financial and commercial affairs.
