هذا الكتاب هو دراسة للمتوسطية وقد حرره الدكتور سمعان بطرس فرج الله ولم يترك شاردة او واردة الا ذكرها وعلق عليها فقد تابع السياسة المصرية إزاء العلاقات المتوسطية منذ أعلن استقلال مصر واصبحت لدينا وزارة خارجية فى1922 واوضح موقف الحكومة المصرية فى كل مرحلة تاريخية من هذه العلاقات ولم يذكر واقعة دون اثبات تاريخها وحاول اعطاء تقدير كمى لكل ما يقول وقد حلل بعمق الوضع الراهن لمفاوضات الشراكة مع الاتحاد الاروبى مفتشا عن كل اختلاف او اتفاق وفصل فى سرد النتائج السلبية والايجابية ودقق فى عرض ما يتعين على مصر ان تفعلة لتعظيم العائد الايجابى من الشراكة وابرز اثر الاوضاع العالمية فى زمن الكوكبة وواقع ان دول الاتحاد الاوروبى تنتمى الى مجموعة الدول الصناعية المتقدمة التى تملك كل وسائل النفوذ والتقدم فى حين تنتمى الدول العربية الى مجموعة دول العالم الثالث وقد صدر هذا الكتاب ضمن مشروع "مصر 2020"
