هذا الكتاب يعد ردًا على الاقتراحات المقدمة من بعض العلماء الأجلاء في مجال العمل المصرفي الإسلامي لتخفيف حدة مخاطر السوق المصرفي على أموال المودعين والمستثمرين لدى البنوك الإسلامية، في ظل التقلبات الاقتصادية العنيفة والمتكررة التي تشهدها معظم الأسواق العالمية منذ فترة طويلة من الزمن، وتتبلور تلك الاقتراحات في اتجاهين أساسيين، إما إخضاع أرصدة الحسابات الاستثمارية التي يحتفظ بها لدى هذه البنوك للتأمين الإسلامي على الودائع، أو اعتبار البنوك الإسلامية ضامنة بالشرط لأرصدة تلك الحسابات، ويبين المؤلف في هذا الكتاب من خلال بحثين مستقلين، مفهوم كل من التأمين الإسلامي على الودائع، وضمان البنوك لتلك الودائع بالشرط، ثم يرد على هذين الاقتراحين باستعراض الأدلة العقلية والنقلية المناسبة التي تبين فساد كل منهما من الناحية الشرعية والاقتصادية.
