خلل كبير يسود دراسة اللغة العربية في الحوزات العلمية، فبين كتب فيها عمق وتحليل، ولكنها غير منهجية، وبين نقص في تدريس بعض المباحث، خلط بين علمي الصرف والنحو، تجاهل للخط والإملاء، إفراط أو تفريط في دراسة البلاغة.
يدخل الطالب لدراسة قطر الندى فيحدثوه عن البصريين والكوفيين وبني تميم والحجازيين، وكأنه كان يعيش بين ظهرانيهم، ويعرفهم معرفة وطيدة!!؟؟.
يدرس الطالب عدة سنوات في النحو دون أن يعرف مراحل تطور هذا العلم، وكيف تمَّ وضعه، ومن أئمة هذا العلم؟ ينتقل الطالب في دراسة كتب اللغة: الأجرومية، النحو الواضح (بقسميه الإبتدائي والثانوي)، قطر الندى، الألفية، مغنى اللبيب، المختصر، المطول؛ دون وجود منهجية علمية في الترقي من كتاب لآخر...
كل ما مر دعى المؤلف للتصنيف في اللغة العربية، بالقدر الذي يحتاجه طالب الحوزة العلمية، بطريقة يتم فيها تدرج دارس هذا العلم من مرحلة إلى أخرى، لذا وضع "الوجيز في النحو" الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا وهو لطلاب المرحلة الأولى، يتسم بالوضوح والسهولة، "الوسيط في النحو" وهو لطلاب المرحلة الثانية، فيه زيادات مهمة عن الوجيز، "الوسيع في النحو" وهو لطلاب المرحلة الثالثة، تمَّ فيه التوسع في دراسة هذا العلم، والقدر الموجود فيه كاف، ولا يحتاج الطالب لأكثر مما فيه، وبدراسة هذه الكتب الثلاثة يستغني الطالب الحوزوي عن سواها.
