عند قدم سلم يرتفع إلى القمر، كان أوغوست يجلي متأملاًَ، ابتسامته الثابتة، أفكاره بعيدة، هذا التظاهر بالنشوة، الذي أوصله إلى الكمال، وداخل شعاع ضوء خشبة المسرح يستلقي العالم الذي كان يولد فيه من جديد كل مساء.
ويتألف من تلك الأشياء والمخلوقات والكائنات التي تتحرك في دائرة السحر، السلم الأبدي، القمر المثبت بمسامير إلى السقف، وبهذه الأشياء كان أوغوست ورفاقه ينجحون كل ليلة، في إعادة إنتاج دراما البدء والشهادة.
