لا شكّ أنّ أمالي إمام العصر العلّامة محمد أنور شاه الكشميري على كتب الحديث الشريف، حوت من الفوائد والنّكات والأفكار المبتكرة ما هو قرّة عين لأهل العلم وطلّابه.
وقد عُني جامع هذا الكتاب القيّم بمطالعة أمالي العلّامة الكشميري على "صحيح البخاري"، المسمّاة "فيض الباري"، غيرَ مرة، فانتقى منها فوائدها الحديثية والكلام على الأعلام والكتب، وجعلها في صعيدٍ واحد، ورتّبها ترتيباً دقيقاً أنيقاً.
ولّما كان "مَعارف السُّنن" للعلّامة محمد يوسف البنوري كذلك من دروس شيخه الكشميري وأماليه؛ فقد أضاف الجامعُ الكريم فوائد منها إلى ما انتقاه من "فيض الباري".
وقد رتب هذه الفوائد المنتقاة على ستة فصول، الأول: الأعلام، الثاني: الكتب، الثالث: أصول وضوابط وقواعد، الرابع: الإمام البخاري وكتابه "الجامع الصحيح"، الخامس: موافقات الإمام البخاري للإمام أبي حنيفة، السادس: حكايات وواقعات، ولم يعلِّق جامع الكتاب عليه إلا في مواضعَ يسيرة؛ لئلا يخرج عن وصف الإنتقاء إلى الشرح والتعليق، وقد أضحى هذا السِّفْر عملاً علميّاً نافعاً ماتعاً.
