منذ نقديات إبن الراوندي والرازي وحتى الرصافي ومحمد أركون وحسن حنفي وحتى عبد الكريم شروس ومقلدته، تتواصل جملة من التباسات حول النبوة ومفهومها ومتفرعاتها التي على رأسها تشارك اللاهوت والسياسية ومحاولة طرح كون بداية الإصلاح هي في فصل الإسلام الديني عن الإسلام التاريخي بفصل النبي عن قيادة الدولة، وصولاً إلى نقد المؤسسة الدينية في الراهن، حتى القطيعة مع بلاغة الأتزان والإكتفاء بجماليات العبارة عن دقة الفكرة وتوثيق المصادر والفهم المتخصص لتراث غاية بالتشابك، وكلها أمور أخرجت لنا خطاباً ثقافياً بات هو جزء من ذهنية الأزمة بعدما كنا نحتسب أنه خرج لحلها ومعالجتها. في هذا الكتاب نتابع غلواء نرجسة الشخصنة عند حسن العلوي ودروب مفاجأة الذات بما لا تقبله لدى عادل رؤوف، والنقل غير المنضبط لدى أحمد القبانجي، وتقطيعات الفكرة لدى عبد الرزاق الجبران، وإشكالية التورط النفسي لدى سعدون ضمد، بالإضافة إلى عشرات الأسماء العربية والأجنبية التي يثبت هذا الكتاب أن خطابها الثقافي وأدواتها النقدية كانت لأضعف بكثير من خطاب وأدوات المثقف العربي القديم، وبالتالي فهي لم تنطلق من تأسيسات معرفية حقيقية ولم تكن لتنتشر على قطاع واسع لو لم يكن متلقيها يعاني تقشفاً وفقراً ثقافياً صيّر مثل هذه الخطابات المنقوصة ليس مشاريع ثقافية بل جزء من ثقافة الفتنة وذهنيتها.
