نفحة هواء شمالية باردة؛ كما هو الحال دائما في كل صباح؛ راحت تتسلل إلى أطراف الخيمة (بيت الشعر) التي بللها الندى؛ وأخذ بخار الماء من داخلها يختلط برذاذ السحب المنخفضة؛ على شكل ضباب؛ لتشكل عند ظهور الشمس قوس قزح يطل من خلف الكثبان الرملية المترامية الأطراف بلونها الذهبي؛ بعد أن لامستها أشعة الشمس إثر عطش؛ حيث راحت تتلهف لقطرات الندى بشغف؛ لتهر فراخ الضفادع الصغيرة؛ وهي تقفز فرحة بنهار جديد؛ ويختلط صوت نقيقها؛ بأصوات طائر القطا وثغاء الإبل ورنين أجراس الأغنام المعلقة في رقابها. في هذا الوقت المبكر من الصباح الصحراوي؛ قلة من ساكني الخيام يغادرون بيوت الشعر؛ فالساعة تلامس السابعة والنصف صباحا؛ وقبل ساعة ونيف أنهى المصلون صلاتهم؛ وذهب بعضهم لاحتساء القهوة العربية وتناول التمر مع شيخ القبيلة؛ او غادر لجلب بعض الحاجات من السوق البعيد؛ حيث اعتاد اهل البادية على النوم بعد العشاء؛ والاستيقاظ مع طلوع الفجر؛ ومن ثم السعي في مناكبها بحثا عن الرزق؛ فمنهم من يرعى الإبل والأغنام؛ ومنهم من يذهب إلى العمل؛ وأغلبهم في
