يحتوي هذا الكتاب على محاضرات في فقه المفاوضات المالية، يعتمد مؤلفه "دراسة مقارنة" بين الفقهاء في موضوع المعاملات المادية بحيث يشرح للقارئ كيف تناول كل مذهب "معنى المال" وخاصة أنه (لم يرج عن الشارع بيان خاص للمال كحقيقة شرعية، كما في الصلاة والصوم وإنما ترك للناس فهمها بما يتعارفون ويألفون) ومن هنا كان للعلماء في تعريفه أقوال وفي استعمالاته شرائط وأحكام، فكيف نظر كلٌّ من المالكية، الشافعية، الإمامية، والحنابلة وغيرهم إلى مفهوم البيع، شروط البيع، خيار الرؤية (بيع شيء غائب وطريقة معرفته الوصف) وأنواع البيوع بما فيها البيوع المحرمة والبيوع المنهى عنها، والبيوع ذات الصلة بالربا، والاحتكار، والصرف، وبيوع الأمانة، ومفهوم الإجارة وأحكامها وأنواعها: إجارة الآدمي، استئجار العقار، استئجار الدواب، المساقاة والمزارعة: أحكامها، وشروط فسخ عقد المزارعة، أحكام الشركات وأركانها وأنواعها: شركة المفاوضة، شركة الأبدان والوجوه، شركة العنان، وغيرها، وأخيراً أحكام المضاربة، وما يبطل به عقد المضاربة. ويخلص المؤلف إلى: "أن اعتماد الدراسة على ذكر خلاف الفقهاء، أو إذا وقع خلاف بين الفقهاء، هذا يعني أنه لا يمكن لمن بعدهم أن يلغي هذا الخلاف مهما عظم شأنه علمه، ويجب أن نتعامل مع المسائل الخلافية على ألا يُسَفه رأي للفقهاء ولو كان دليله في ظننا ضعيفاً".
