جمع هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه مقالات وترجمات ومراجعات عن التصوف الهندي والفارسي والتركي بقلم رائد الدراسات الشرقية عبد الوهاب عزام . أغلب هذه المقالات كان منشورا في المجلات المصرية في بداية القرن الفائت , ورغم تقادم الزمن إلا أن هذه المقالات لا غنى عنها لكل دارس وباحث في التصوف الإسلامي وآداب الأمم الإسلامية , لغناها وثرائها المعرفي ولكونها اللبنة الأولى التي انبعث من خلالها الاهتمام بالترجمات عن اللغات الشرقية , وقد رأينا في جمعها ونشرها تحفيزا للطلاب والعاشقين لهذا اللون من الآداب على متابعة السير في هذا الطريق وتنميم المسيرة التي بدأها الرواد المخلصون في مصر وأحدثت آثار عظيمة في جميع البلدان العربية .
