موضوع النكاح المنقطع هو من المواضيع التي يجدر الاهتمام بها، لا سيما في هذا العصر المليء بالمغريات والهمجية الجنسية المتفشية في دول العالم وعلى الأخص في الدول الغربية حيث أنذر علماء الاجتماع بوقوع خطر يقضي على كيان هذه الشعوب. من هذا المنطلق تأتي هذه الدراسة حول زواج المتعة. وأما ما استهدفه المؤلف من هذه الدراسة فهو كما يلي: 1-تبين حقيقة النكاح المنقطع لمن يريد الاطلاع عليها، 2-ذكر أحكامها بصورة تفصيلية للشباب المسلم في أوروبا لكي لا يقع البعض منهم في الحرام، 3-جلب أنظار أهل المنطق والمثقفين من أهل السنة إلى حقائق عدة في هذا الموضوع، 4-مواجهة الشكوك والشبهات التي بها يواجه المجوزين لهذا النكاح الشرعي المؤجل المؤقت.
هذا وإن مؤلف هذا الكتاب العلامة الخطيب السيد مرتضى الموسوي الأردبيلي النحفي، وبمقتضى قيامه بمهام التبليغ الديني الإسلامي في الغرب وبالخصوص في ألمانيا، كان يواجه هذه المشكلة بين الشباب المسلم الملتزم هناك ويراجعونه بهذا الصدد كثيراً، ومن جانب آخر كان يواجه كثيراً من الشكوك والشبهات على المجوزين لهذا النكاح الشرعي المؤجل المؤقت، ومع وجود غير واحد من الكتب المنشورة فيه، رأى الحاجة لا زالت قائمة إلى المزيد من البحث والدراسة والتحقيق فيه، فكان أن انبرى إلى هذه الدراسة التي يلمح فيها القارئ والباحث في هذا الموضوع استقصاءات جديدة وهامة.
