تكمن الحاجة إلى هذا العمل آيات الجهاديين / قراءةٌ أخرى، في المخاطر التي أوصلنا إليها الإصرارُ على تقديس ما ليس مقدّساً بالأصل، وانعكست هذه المخاطرُ دماء وتهجيراً وفقراً وقصوراً حضاريّاً فاضحاً.
إذا تفاهمنا أنّ القارئ لا يقرأ خالي الذهن، وإذ يسجّل فهومَه لما يقرأ؛ إنما يفعل ذلك بتحشيد كلّ مدّخراته الذهنية، وتوسّلِ كلّ آليةٍ متاحة له تمكّنه من معاينة النص.
وبالتالي يكون قد صادر المقروء، وأسرَهُ داخل لغته التي يسكنها مع أبناء زمانه ومكانه، وإذ يصل هذا الأسير إلينا إنما يصل متشكّلاً بأسره الذي صنعه له ذلك القارئ وإذ نقبله كما وصَلَنا فإنما نكون قد دخَلْنا معه في الأسر.
وهكذا تتأبّد لحظة حضارية، عندما لا تبالي بالمتغيّرات الزمانية والمكانية، ومتغيرات ما يدّخر الإنسان في ذهنه من مكانه وزمانه.
يأتي هذا العمل محاولة لإنتزاع النصّ من آسريه، ولا يدّعي أنه قراءة نهائية.
