بين الميلاد في أعماق الريف واعتلاء المنصة التي أضرجت بدمائه طريق طويل سار فيه الرئيس الراحل "أنور السادات".. طريقًا محفوفًا بالفقر والمخاطر والانضمام للتنظيمات السرية والثورية الذي يتحول فجأة إلى طريق القمة التي يصل إليها من خلال تنظيم الضباط الأحرار والثورة والرئيس الراحل "جمال عبد الناصر".. وبالقطع طالما كانت هذه هي السمات المميزة لحياة "السادات" لا بد وأنها حياة مليئة بالأسرار والغموض والعلاقات الشائكة.. وهذا هو ما يرصده الأستاذ "عصام عبد الفتاح" في كتابه هذا، حيث كتب عن أيام السادات بأسرارها وتاريخها المثير.. وإن كان ابتعد عما كتب فاشتملت على الرئيس الراحل وهو طفلًا وشابًا وهاربًا وقاتلًا وعضوًا في ثورة يوليو.. وأخيرًا وهو رئيس أحب أسلوب "الصدمات الكهربائية" فعجت حياته بالكثير من المفاجآت وأحيانًا المتناقضات.. اشتملت أيضًا على تحليلات لمواقفه السياسية وعلاقاته الخارجية.. وهي الأكثر جدلًا، وبالطبع تناول الكتاب حادث المنصة، وذلك بعرض السيناريو الخاص به ومحتويات التحقيقات مع منفذي الحادث وكذلك العديد من المقولات التي أثيرت حوله عن التهاون بشأن حياة الرئيس أو بعض التعليقات التي أفادتها التقارير التشريحية في الحادث.. أو غير ذلك الكثير مما يقدمه لنا المؤلف في هذا الكتاب، الذي حاول أن يفك بعض طلاسم ورموز أيام السادات.
