يأتي كتابنا "القاعدة: الجيل الثالث رؤية عسكرية"، خارج سياق اتبعناه، لأكثر من عقد زمني، طالما كانت محدداته إبقاء الضوء مسلطاً على خطر المشروع الصهيوني الذي يتهددنا في حاضرنا ومستقبلنا.
لكن بعد انفجار أحداث دموية في أقطار عربية عديدة، بخاصة العراق وسورية، وما أفرزته من إرهاب أسود، عابر للحدود والكيانات، نحا القلم باتجاه خطر الجماعات القاعدية المُكمّل لنظيره الإسرائيلي مضموناً، وإن بديا متباعدين شكلاً؛ فلكلاهما دور وظيفي، مهمّته تبضيع أوطاننا، إلى كانتونات دينية ومذهبية وإتنية وجهوية… لإبقائها أسيرة الاستبداد والتناحر والتخلف والاستتباع للأجنبي.
ومع إدراكنا لديمومة المشروع الصهيوني، إلا أن الآخر، أكثر أذية وإجراماً في راهنية لحظتنا؛ فما ألحقه، خلال بضع سنوات، من قتل وتدمير وإضرار، بوحدة مكوناتنا ونسجُها الاجتماعية وهويتنا الثقافية، فاق بأشواط العدوانية الإسرائيلية، ما جعلنا نوجّه البوصلة، موقتاً، نحو الطاعون الجديد الذي لن تستقيم الأمور من دون القضاء التام على منابته ودوافعه ومآلاته الكارثية.
