منذ 25 يناير 2011، ومصر في حالة نقاش مستعر، عشوائي الطابع، عن ماذا يجري، وماذا جرى بالأمس القريب، وأصبح من النادر أن نرى مناقشة تتحدث عن الغد، أو المستقبل، إلا في إطار الخروج من مأزق وقتي، لم نعد نرى نقاش عن مستقبل طويل الأمد، عن خطة مريحة تؤسس لجمهورية حقيقية واستقرار واضح للوطن، ويمكن القول أن السبب في هذا الفخ هو قصور الرؤية لدى البعض، ورؤية البعض الآخر أن الحديث عن حلول جذرية سوف يخرجهم من لعبة إعلامية، وسياسة ادملت الحلول المؤقتة، والرؤى الوقتية التي تتحور مع واقع يتغير كل دقيقة تقريباً.
ومما لا شك فيه أن الحديث عن ماذا يجري وماذا جرى له قيمته، وتدوين الماضي والحاضر هو أساس المستقبل، ولكن لا يمكن بطبيعة الحال أن يستمر العمل في تحليل وكتابة الماضي والحاضر فحسب، دون أن نمد أبصارنا لرؤية مستقبل الوطن عقب بضعة أشهر/ سنوات من الآن، في الأوراق المقبلة، سعيت إلى هذا المبحث، النظر إلى المستقبل، مستقبل مصر، لن نناقش ماذا جرى في 25 يناير 2011، اسرار التنحي، أسلوب إدارة المجلس العسكري لحكم مصر، كيف وصل الدكتور محمد مرسي إلى الحكم، كيف تمت إزاحة المشير محمد حسين طنطاوي من وزارة الدفاع، كل هذه القضايا ليس لها مكان هنا، ربما في كتاب/ كتب أخرى، ولكننا هنا، لن نسعى إلا لشئ واحد فحسب، تحديد مستقبل مصر وخياراتنا، ومحاولة إختيار الأنسب، وتجنب الاسوأ، لنحاول أن ننظر إلى نتائج ما نزرعه بإيدينا اليوم.. عل وعسى نتجنب خيارات بالغة السوء تلوح في الدفق.
