تحولت مصر إلى سوق مفتوح للعولمة، تحولنا إلى أكبر مستهلك لكل شيء على مستوى العالم، أصبحنا أكبر مشتري للسلع في أي مكان في العالم، وفي نفس الوقت تحولنا إلى مجرد سلعة في سوق ثاني أكبر، الأمر شديد الشبه بما يجري في المطاعم التى تشيد على النمط الأمريكي الحديث، أنت تذهب إلى المطعم من أجل الظفر بسلعة ما، حينما تجلس على المنضدة وتأكل، لا تلتفت كثيرًا إلى أن واجهة المحل حتى لو كان من عدة طوابق فهي من زجاج، زجاج يعرض للناس من يأكلون بالداخل كأن سعادتهم والتهامهم للسلعة قد أصبح جزءًا منها، جزءًا من خطة الترويج لها، مصر الآن أصبحت مشترى في سوق صغير، وسلعة في سوق أكبر، نشتري كل شيء من سوق صغير، ويشتري البعض الآخر مستقبلنا ومصانعنا وخيرات بلادنا وسياساتنا وثقافتنا وهويتنا في سوق أكبر.
