اهتم التحليل النقدي للخطاب بالقضايا الإجتماعيّة والسياسيّة والإقتصاديّة، لذلك سعينا إلى تطبيق هذه النظرية على مختارات من الخطاب الإعلامي الذي صاحب الثورة في تونس في أيامها الأولى، وقد عرف هذا الخطاب تعبيراً في الأسلوب والمحتوى وظهرت تعابير جديدة وأخرى اكتسبت جدتها من طريقة وظروف استعمالها.
