هذا الكتاب القديم الجديد - "نبذة تاريخية في المقاطعة الكسروانية" للخوري منصور طنوس الخوري الحتوني طُبع طبعة أولى سنة 1884 ونفذت نسخه، وهو من الكتب اللبنانية البحت، التي تزيد المراجع التاريخية أسانيد ومرويات، وآراء وعنعنات.
وهذا الكتاب القديم الجديد ينقل أحداثاً بلدية شهد كاتبه بعضها شهود عيان، وتلقى بعضها الآخر عن أصحابها الذين عاشوا فيها أو سمعوها في مناقلات الجدود، فجمعها وضمها إلى أقوال التواريخ المطبوعة وقصّها في "مؤلفه" قصصاً جديداً، بدا أوسع واكمل مما عرفناه في الكتب التي بين أيدينا.
