مسيرته
ولد الدكتور عبد السلام بنعبد العالي بمدينة سلا سنة 1945 حاصل على الدكتوراه في الفلسفة، وهو أستاذ جامعي بجامعة محمد الخامس بالرباط، له كثير من المقالات والدراسات العلمية، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة مهمة من الكتب التي نشرت له ومنها ما هو مشترك بينه وبين مفكرين أمثال المفكر سالم يفوت في كتاب درس الإبستمولوجيا .

التفكير في موضوع الحرية هو أصلاً التفكير في الإنسان ككل، والعكس صحيح، من هنا، نفهم الدلالة العميقة لما قاله غرامشي: عندما اعتبر أن السؤال "ما الإنسان؟، هو في الأصل سؤال عن مصير الإنسان، أي "هل يمكن أن يتحكم ويسيطر الإنسان على مصيره الخاص؟".
هل هو حر بما يكفي؟ وهل يمكن أن يصبح حراً أكثر، وبالتالي ما السبيل إلى تقليص الموانع، وتوسيع دائرة حريته؟...
إن كل هذه التساؤلات تطرح، بشكل أو بآخر، إشكالاً مركزياً: حدود الحرية، أو الإنسانية بين الحرية والإكراه.
إن شساعة مجالات التفكير في الحرية، جعلتنا نقوم بإختيار منهجي، إذ صنفنا النصوص إلى محاور ثلاث: أولاً، الحرية والفرد سواء داخل سياق إشكالي عام، الطبيعة والثقافة، أو تحديداً في إطار فاعلية الإنسان كشخص متميز بالإرادة، ثانياً، الحرية والمجتمع من منظور إجتماعي محض، حيث الإكراهات الإجتماعية السائدة بالضرورة، وقراءتها من زاوية أخلاقية إنطلاقاً من مفهوم الواجب، ثالثاً، الحرية والسياسة سواء منظوراً إليها في إطار قانوني، أو في فضاء السلطة ودواليب الدولة.
