يسر مركز عمان لدراسات حقوق الإنسان إصدار كتاب "الحريات الأكاديمية في الجامعات العراقية" والذي يضم بين دفتيه أوراق العمل والأبحاث التي قدمت في الندوة الخاصة بالحريات الأكاديمية في الجامعات العراقية والتي عقدت في حلقته الأولى في بغداد (نوفمبر 2005) وفي حلقته الثانية في عمان (شباط 2006).
وينقسم الكتاب إلى خمسة فصول إضافة إلى الملاحق، إذ تضمن الفصل الأول عرضاً للمفاهيم والأهمية الخاصة بالحريات الأكاديمية، وتعرض الفصل الثاني للحريات الأكاديمية في الجامعات العربية، ووضح الفصل الثالث واقع بيئة الحريات الأكاديمية في الجامعات العراقية، وعرض الفصل الرابع الحريات الأكاديمية في الجامعات العراقية: التطلعات والآفاق، وتضمن الفصل الخامس والأخير موضوع الحريات الأكاديمية والتعليم العالي.
