يتمعن المؤلف في ترصّد ذاكرته ليكتب مسار الرحلة منذ خطوتها الأولى، قبل نحو نصف قرن من الزمان.. على مهل يعيد صياغة الذكريات، بتروّ يرسم زوايا المشهد، بحنكة يضع الحروف لتكتمل أغنية أرادها لحناً بديعاً من أجل وطن أحبه فأخلص له، وسعى أن يقول كلمة حق يشعر أنها أقل من الواجب وهو يستعيد سيرة مكان تحققت على ترابه الأحلام وكبرت واستوت ثماراً غيّرت ملامح الحياة. لا يكتبها سيرة حين يكتب رحلته في عالم الاتصالات، لأن الذات هنا ممهورة بتراب الأرض، والسيرة ملتحقة بسماء الوطن... والحروف أهلّة تضيء صفحات من مشوار بلد عايش لحظة ميلاده الجديدة فكأن العمر استيقظ فجأة على نحو مدهش، عمر المؤلف كما هو عمر الوطن. إنه لا يكتب عن رحلته في عالم الاتصالات قدر ما يكتب عن رحلته في وطن ممتد من سواقي قريته العراقي في ولاية عبري وحتى سفوح جبال ظفار، يتتبع رحلة الجندي الواقف بشموخ المكان يتهادى إلى سمعه رصاص حرب لا زالت تقضّ مضجع البلاد وخاصرتها الجنوبية، ويرصد رحلة شباب يتذوق مرارة الغربة من أجل العلم، ويعود ليكتب عن وزير اقترب من حلمه أكثر مما توقع.. هي رحلة إنسان عبر شرايين الوطن الكبير.. تقوده ذبذبات العمر إلى حيث تقف أحلامه على شوامخ الجبال وامتدادات الصحاري.. دخل الحقل العسكري من أجل حقول الاتصالات، وكادت أحلامه أن تقع لولا أنه مؤمن بقدرة الإنسان وإرادته على النفاذ نحو ذبذبات الحلم مهما غصّ الدرب بالأحجار، فحملته الدرب ليكون ربّان الاتصالات في السلطنة وهو يمضي بها من حقل إلى آخر، يدفعه إيمان بقدرة المواطن على تحمُّل مسؤوليته مدفوعاً بروح الإخلاص لهذا الوطن، مجرباً الجديد في عالم الأسلاك وهي تنقل الصوت والصورة، والحدث أولاً بأول. رحلة في كتاب، مخطوطة بذبذبات القلب، وستصل إلى قلوب من عايش جانباً من الرحلة، أو سار على خطواتها، لأنها اقتراب من سيرة وطن ولد من جديد.
