وقضية اللغة العربية والنهوض بها نطقا وكتابة قضية شعب بأكمله، فإذا أصابها سوء أو مسها ضعف فقد مس الشعب كله في سلوكياته وقيمه فهى أكسير الحياة بالنسبة له ، ولكل الشعوب وهى التى تربط المجتمع كله بعضه ببعض فإذا كانت في خطر فإن المجمع كله أضحى في حصر مماثل ويظن حالمين ان الشعب السليم المتعلم هو القادر على الحافظ على لغته ونشرها وتنميتها وتطويرها لتواكب مصطلحات ومستجدات العصر.
ولعلنا نذكر هنا حقيقة تسجلها كتب التاريخ مؤداها أن اللغة العربية كانت إحدى لغتين في العالم القديم تكتب بهما الفلسفة والعلوم فيما بين القرن الثامن والقرن السادس عشر حينما كانت العربية في الشرق واللاتينية في الغرب حتى اعتبرت اللغة العربية لغة عالمية وقتئذ.
