اشتمل الكتاب على أربعة فصول حيث جاء الفصل الأول بعنوان (النشأة والمراحل التاريخية للدبلوماسية والقنصلية ومعايير تنظيم البعثات الدبلوماسية) وجاء الفصل الثاني بعنوان (الامتيازات والحصانات الدبلوماسية والقنصلية وهيئات العلاقات الدبلوماسية)، بينما جاء الفصل الثالث بعنوان (اللغة والتورية والإنشاء الدبلوماسي وكتابة الرسائل والجلوس على الموائد)، وأخيراً وليس آخراً جاء الفصل الرابع بعنوان (تقنيين قواعد العلاقات الدبلوماسية والبعثات الخاصة والعلاقات الدولية ودبلوماسية المستقبل).
إضافة إلى ما سبق من موضوعات اشتمل الكتاب على العيديد من المباحث الهامة والمستجدة على ساحة العلاقات الدبلوماسية كمجال (الدبلوماسية الشعبية) ودور (مؤسسات المجتمع المدني) في العمل الدبلوماسي، كما وتم التركيز على إدارة البروتوكول والمراسم في العمل الدبلوماسي.
