الكتاب هو محاولة من أجل التأريخ والتوثيق، حتى لا يضيع تاريخ الثورة المصرية في 25 يناير، كما ضاع الكثير من تاريخنا الحديث، وربما هي محاولة لعرض وجهة نظر عن ثورة 25 يناير، هي شهادة تحمل مشاهد كثيرة، يحاول الكتاب تقديم ثلاثة مراحل تتعلق بثورة 25 يناير، الأولى ما قبل الثورة، حيث مصر التي وصلت إلى مرحلة غير مسبوقة من الإنفجار، والثانية تتعلق بمصر في 18 يوم هو عمر الثورة المصرية، حيث ظهرت مصر كيوتوبيا، ومدينة فاضلة، والثالثة تتعلق بمصر بعد ثورة 25 يناير، ثلاثة مراحل في تاريخ مصر، في عام 2011، في فترة لا تتعدى بضعة شهور، صنعت فيها مصر المستحيل، ثلاثية زمنية أكدت أن الشعوب وحدها هي القادرة على صناعة التاريخ، تاريخ المستقبل، بدت مصر الأولى "قبل الثورة" حالمة، ومصر الثانية "أثناء الثورة" ملهمة، ومصر الثالثة "بعد الثورة" شامخة رغم أنف الحاقدين.
