إن من مصلحة المسلمين ان يدرسوا واقعهم الأليم ليعرفوا ان سبب ما اصاب المسلمين من ضعف وتخلف هو ابتعادهم عن كتاب ربهم وهدى نبيهم وانقساههم وتفرقهم فتفككت امتهم الواحدة إلى دويلات متنازعة وأتاحت فرقتهم لأعدائهم ان ينفوا بين صفوفهم، ويزيدوهم فرقة وتفككا وضعفا. وهذا الكتاب عن إيران في ظل الإسلام يصور جانبا من واقع العالم الاسلامي المعاصر، ويبين أثر الخلافات المذهبية في تمزيق صفوف المسلمين.
وقد جعات هذا الكتاب بابين ودرست في الباب الاول منهم إيران في العصور التى غلبت الصبغة السنية- في أثنائها - على مظاهر النشاط البشري فيها. ودرست في الباب الثاني من الكتاب إيران وهى مصطبغة بالصبغة الشيعية وتابعت سير الاحداث فيها إلى يومنا هذا. وقسمت كل باب منهما إلى فصول على حسب الموضوعات التى تضمنها كل باب. وواضح ان دراستي دراسة موجزة مركزة تهتم بإبراز الخطوط الرئيسية لسير الحداث في إيران في ظل الإسلام وصلة هذه الأحداث بالدول الإسلامية الأخرى.
