هذا الكتاب "النقابات في مصر الرومانية" ينقسم إلى أربعة فصول، ويتضمن الفصل الأول نوعية منظمات أرباب المهن والحرف منذ أقدم العصور حتى نهاية العصر البطلمي، وأما الفصل الثاني فيتضمن النقابات في مصر في عصر الرومان، وقد تعرض فيه المؤلف لأنواع هذه المنظمات، وأهدافها، ونظمها. ونقابات أرباب المهن والحرف، وأنواعها، وأما الفصل الثالث فقد تناول فيه علاقات النقابات بالحكومة، وإشراف الحكومة على الأنشطة الحرفية للنقابات، وأخيراُ تناول في الفصل الرابع دور النقابات في المجالات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية وتوارث الحرف، وانغلاق كل طبقة على نفسها.
والكتاب على هذا النحو يعد عملاً علمياً رفيع المستوى في تخصيص نادر.
