قُضي الأمر؛ ما عدت أسمع تلك الأصوات الكثيرة التي دهمت سكوني وصمتي، فتحررت من بقايا أضغاثي، وذهبت وساوسي، لم يكن أمامي من خيار آخر غير هذا، شحذت سيوفي بعد أن أخرجتها من أغمادها.
لن أعيدها إلى صمتها... أشهرتها فانقشع غبار العواصف مرة واحدة، وبانت السماء زرقاء صافية لا تشوب ألوانها شائبة، تتوسطها الشمس بجمال حالاتها، دافئة... مضيئة... بهيّة كبهاء وجه نيسان، ما عدت أتلعثم بحرف من حروفها...
اتّقيتُ... صبرت... تحملت رائحة العفن... سلَّكت مجاري القذارة بيدي العاريتين... ليلى بارد، وبراكيني مراجل نار تصهر نومي... نعم، لن أضع سيوفي في أغمادها بعد اللحظة، سأجعل أسنّة رماحي تلمع في وجه من تسوّل له أحلامه بالعبث بأشيائي.
لملمت ما تبعثر مني في أيار، وفي حزيران، وأيلول، وتشرين، وكانون، وأسلو، ومدريد، وريكيافك، وواشنطن، وواشنطن، وواشنطن... لن أجلس منتظراً طعام الغداء أو العشاء.
لن آبه بمدفع الإفطار، ولكنني بإنتظار مدافع الفجر؛ الفجر الآتي من البعيد البعيد... الآتي مع موجة تعانق رمال عسقلان.
