بعد انقضاء أشهر على صدور موسوعة التحكيم وجد الدكتور عبد الحميد الأحدب أنه من الضروري ضم ملحق لها، لأن قانوناً جديداً للتحكيم صدر في الجزائر في شهر إبريل 2008، وكان الضروري أن يدخل القانون الجزائري الجديد في الموسوعة ليحل محل القانون القديم، هكذا وضع دراسة كاملة حول القانون الجديد مقارناً بالقانون السابق وبالقانون الفرنسي الذي تأثر به قانون التحكيم الجزائري.
وكذلك، وضعت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة مشروع قانون جديد للتحكيم في يناير 2008 وهو في طريقه إلى أني قر ويصادق عليه. هكذا درس المشروع وقارنه بالقانون المعمول به حالياً بالقانون النموذجي للتحكيم الذي وضعته الأونسيترال والمأخوذ عنه مشروع القانون الجديد.
أما السودان فقد تضمنت الموسوعة التي ظهرت قانونه السابق وصدر القانون السوداني الجديد سنة 2005 ولم نتمكن من الحصول على نسخة عنه إلا بعد صدور الموسوعة والفضل بذلك يعود للقاضي السوداني تاج السر حامد الذي زودنا بكثير من الآراء والأضواء التي كانت عوناً لنا لتأتي معالجة قانون السودان الجديد، الذي هو جديد بالفعل.
أما المغرب وسوريا حيث صدر قانونهما الجديد بعد الانتهاء من طبع الموسوعة، فقد سبق أن احتطنا كذلك لمشروع قانون جديد في اليمن يجري البحث بإقراره في الوقت الحاضر.
الموسوعة درست مشاريع القوانين التي كانت مطروحة وعالجتها في المغرب وسوريا وقد أقرت بعد طبع الموسوعة أما اليمن فمشروع قانونها قيد الإقرار. أما الجزائر والإمارات العربية فلم تكن هناك مشاريع قوانين لهما حين صدرت الموسوعة. وقد اقر القانون الجزائري الجديد وصدر ونشر في الجريدة الرسمية في إبريل 2008 ومشروع قانون الإمارات هو في الطريق. لذلك أضاف القانون السوداني الجديد إلى الموسوعة.
لهذا كان هذا الملحق مقتصراً على قانون الجزائر الجديد ومشروع قانون التحكيم في الإمارات العربية المتحدة وقانون التحكيم السوداني الجديد. وبهذا الملحق، تكتمل دراسة كل القواني العربية الجديدة، كما والقوانين التي صدرت قبل ذلك، بل ومشاريع القوانين التي هي قيد النظر.
