Book Description
From every pearling trip he brought for his daughter something interesting that he had found on the sea bottom. These were curious stones, bits of coral in fascinating shapes or shells which shamma did not yet have in her collection. Shamma loved getting these gifts and kept them in a wooden chest in her room. From the last trip, her father brought her an odd stone. It was round and shiny. Its violet color was comple-mented with blue, yellow and sil-ver streaks. Smooth to the touch, it shimmered and sparkled in the sun. It was different to all the stones Shamma had seen until now. Her father, while giving it to her, said: "This stone looks like a key to another world"
