يوثق الكتاب ثلاث محطات في تاريخ الثورة الفلسطينية، في ضوء تجربة واقعية عاشها الكاتب وشارك في صنعها، وهو يروي، في الأولى، تجربته في "لجنة التنظيم 77" بين عامي 1977 و 1988، مع الشهيدين أبو حسن قاسم وحمدي.
ويسرد، في الثانية، تجربته في قيادة إنتفاضة الأقصى في عام 2000، وملازمته مروان البرغوثي حتى إعتقاله في عام 2002، أما المحطة الأخيرة فترصد الأشهر الستة الأولى من "هبّة السكاكين" التي اندلعت في عام 2015.
