إن النظم قوت ارواح المحبين وغياث العاشقين به تطرب افئدة السالكين ومن حلاه تسكر قلوب الواصلين ومن حمياه تتلذذ سويداء قلوب الكاملين وهو من القوم على حسب تنوعات احوالهم فاما غزلا فذلك في ربهم ورسولهم ،وإما توسلاواستغاثات. وإما ضبطا لبعض واردات وقد يكون حماسة لذكر بعض الحلاوات وقد يكون تأنسا بذكر بعض الخرافات وقد اكثرت من ذلكوان كنت لست منهم بل متحليا بحليهم رجاء ان اغترف عنهم فجعلت قبل هذا ديوانا في حضرة العظيم واخر في حضرة الرسول الكريم ثم سألني بعض الاحباب جمع بعض ما تشتت من العجاب فجمعته بعد سؤالهم والاذن في هذا الديوان وهو محتو على الالوان وسميته: "مجمع الغرائب المفرقات من لطائف الخرافات الذاهبات"
