صدر عن دار سائر المشرق كتاب "حصاد الشوك" للدكتور إميل منذر، الذي شهد أحداث الجبل عن كثب، وتابع من مواقع قيادية، التطورات العسكرية والسياسية اللبنابة، وتداعياتها حتى عودة المهجرين إلى قراهم ابتداءً من مطلع التسعينات. "هذه رواية حَبَكَتْها المجريات السياسية والاجتماعية التي عرفها لبنان في الربع الأخير من القرن العشرين. وتدور أحداثها بين الريف الشوفي الذي انزلق من هناءة العيش والإلفة إلى صخب الحقد والاقتتال، وبين ضواحي بيروت وضوضائها وما شهدته في تلك الفترة من منعطفات صاعقة، خلّفت الكثير من المآسي. في هذا الكتاب، يروي إميل منذر كيف عاش أناس عاديون، من لحم ودم، ومغمورون وهامشيون "من تحت" الحرب وأحداثها ومعاركها التي صنعها وأدارها الكبار المشهورون "من فوق". إنها رواية تسليط الضوء على التناقض الفاضح بين الشعارات الكبيرة والطموحات الصغيرة، وعلى النتائج الحتمية للاقتتال والاستزلام وصمّ الآذان والاندفاع وراء الغرائز. إنما حصاد الخيارات والمواقف والقرارات التي أصبحت واقعًا، وانتقلت مفاعيله إلى أجيال جديدة يحق لها أن تعرف سبب الثمن الذي تدفعه." بمناسبة صدور الكتاب، تدعو دار سائر المشرق للمشاركة في توقيع الكتاب، يوم الإثنين 6 آذار من الساعة السادسة وحتى الثامنة مساءً في جناح الدار في معرض الكتاب اللبناني، في إنطلياس.
