"أخي الكريم الأستاذ محمّد الصفراني حفظه الله، السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، لقد قرأت بعنايةٍ رسالة الماجستير الّتي أعددتموها عن شعري، والّتي نشرت في كتاب الرياض، ورغم أنه ليس من عادتي التعليق على أعمال تتناول إنتاجي، فإنّني سأخالف القاعدة هذه المرّة لأقول: إنّي وجدت في عملكم جهداً متميزاً، وروحاً موضوعيّة، ومنهجيّة دقيقة، الامر الّذي يدفعني إلى تهنئتكم، متمنّياً لكم دوام التوفيق والنجاح بإذن الله تعالى".

"أنا فوجئت بدراسةٍ صدرت ضمن (كتاب الرياض)، وهي رسالة ماجستير ضخمة من 400 ضخمة، وأراها ممتازة جدّاً، ولو أنّي لا أستطيع أن أثني على عمل عنّي، كما أعترف بصدق أنّي لا أقرأ ما يكتب عنّي إذا كان طويلاً، ولكنّ هذا العمل قرأته من أوّله لآخره، وبصرف النظر عن أحكام الباحث وجدت فيه مجهوداً طيّباً وعملاً منهجياً، أنا لما قرأت العمل هذا فوجئت، ما كنت أعرف كم قصيدة كتبتها من هذا البحر ولا كم قصيدة من ذاك... ولا عدد قصائد التفعيلة، ولا أكثر قافية تردّدت في شعري، وأنّ صور المرأة سبع: الجسد، الروح، الوطن... إلخ، هذه الأشياء أتت بشكل عفويّ، وأعتقد أنّ تقييم أيّ شاعر أو أيّ كاتب يُترَك لمن هم أقدر من الكاتب نفسه، وهم النقّاد".". - غازي القصيبي (حوار صحفي) جريدة الجزيرة، الأحد، في 1423/11/16هـ.
