يتداول اسم المحلل النفسي جاك لاكان كما يتداول طلسم. البعض قرأ كتبه. أما البعض الآخر، وهم الأكثر عدداً فاكتفوا بتصفحها، وبعضهم حضروا حلقته الدراسية المشهورة. كل هؤلاء علموا، وأحياناً بصورة قاسية عندما حاولوا التوغل داخل فكره، أن لغة لاكان ليست لغة جميع الناس. فهي توتر أعصاب البعض، وتسحر البعض الآخر. والأمر لا يتعلق بالنسبة للمحلل النفسي الشعير باستفزاز أو تصنع ما. بل إن مشكلة اللغة يقع في صميم عمله، لأنه، حسب رأيه، في صميم الإشكالية الإنسانية.
ذلك أنه لا يمكن التصدر لقراءة لاكان كما يتصدى لقراءة أي كاتب آخر. فبعض الباحثين فعلوا كل شيء لتسيير فهمنا لاكتشافاتهم إلى الحد الأقصى، إلى درجة أننا نتساءل فيم لو أنهم يخونون شيئاً ما، من خلال بحثهم عن السهولة، أما لاكان فيبدو أنه يفعل ما بوسعه لمنع فكره من الاستسلام لانتباه شارد استسلاماً في منتهى اليسر. إنه لا يتبنى لغة السهولة لا في التلفزة، ولا في حلقته الدراسية، ولا ضمن "كتاباته". بل إن لغته اشتهرت باعتبارها لغة مغلقة. واتهم بأنه باطني يبنيها، والحق أيضاً أن خطابه، في أغلب الأحيان، يتسم بالإيجاز الشديد، لدرجة أننا لا نفهم جيداً ماذا يقصد، والحق أخيراً أنه حتى القراءات المتعددة والمتأنية لنص من نصوصه غير كافية لتوضيحه بما يكفي، ومن ثم، نفهم جيداً كيف أن لاكان يترك قارئه أو مستمعه، بل وحتى نظارة الشاشة متضايقين أو مفتونين، في أغلب الأحيان، بل ويتركهم ذاهلين على وجه الخصوص، وبالتالي، ما الذي يريد قوله ولماذا، بحق الشيطان، يتكلم بتلك الطريقة؟
