إن علم الفقه عظيم القدر جليل المكانة خطير الأثر؛ وذلك لتعلقه بالحلال والحرام، وإنه لمن الإبداع بمكان أن تصاغ الأحكام الفقهية- والحالة هذه- في منظومة شعرية؛ تسهيلاً علي طلاب العلم. وهذا إن دل فإنما يدل علي تمكن علمائنا- رحمة الله- من العلوم الشرعية والعلوم اللغوية معاً في أن واحد!
هذا، ونظم "أسهل المسالك في مذهب الإمام مالك" للشيخ محمد البشار- رحمه الله- يرجع إلي القرن الثاني عشر الهجري، كما ورد في آخر بيت من نشخة المخطوط التي اعتمدنا عليها.
وأما الشرح "مصباح السالك" للشيخ عيد الوصيف محمد فيرجع إلى القرن الرابع عشر الهجري.
ومن المؤسف أننا لم نعثر علي ترجمة للناظم، كما لم نعثر علي ترجمة للشارح والذي كان من علماء الأزهر الشريف!
وقد قابلت النظم المطبوع مع الشرح علي نسخة المخطوط التي عثرنا عليها، وقد أثبت منها الفروق التي رأيتها مفيدة في الهامش، كما صححت منها الأخطاء التي في النظم المطبوع، وأغلفت من هذه الفروق ما لا فائدة من ذكره، راجعت نص الشرح المطبوع، وصححت ما فيه من أخطاء منبهاً علي ذلك في مواضعه، عزوت الآيات القرآنية الكريمة إلي سورها مع بيان أرقامها، خرجت الأحاديث الشريفة من مصادرها، وإذا كان الحديث في غير الصحيحين ذكرت حكمه من مصادره، وثقت أقوال الفقهاء من الكتب المعتمدة في مذاهبهم، وضحت ما يحتاج إلي توضيح من كلمات ومصطلحات من مصادرها.
