ويعلمُ القارئ أن هناك الكثير من الدراسات والبحوث التي اهتمت بالعروض الفراهيدي العربي عموماً وبأوزان الشعر الشعبي على وجه الخصوص وقد سبق لي شخصياً إصدار كتاب (أوزان الشعر الشعبي في ميزان الفراهيدي) والذي حقق رواجاً ملحوضاً وإنتشاراً مميزاً وذلك بفضل البساطة الشديدة في التناول وإبتكار وسائل إيضاح جديدة تُقرب المعنى من ذهنية القارئ بشكل سلس وممتع...
وقد تناولت في الإصدار السابق (39) وزناً شعبياً بالشرح المسُهَبِ تارهً بالنسبة للأوزان الأكثر شيوعاً وإستخداماً من قبل الشعراء وبشيءً من الأقتضابِ والإيجازِ للأوزانِ المنبرية ذات الجرس الموسيقي الثقيل والقليلة التداول بين الشعراء والمتلقين... وجرياً على عادة الإختصار، سأتناولُ في هذا الكتاب أكثر الأوزان الشعبية تداولاً وإنتشاراً وهي (22) وزناً سأحاولُ جاهداً شرحها بشيء من الأستفاضة والتفصيل، مع توخي توفير عنصري الفائدة والمتعةِ معاً.
