كتاب "التنوير" من روائع كتب الطب القديم، للحكيم الطيب أبن منصور القمرى من حكماء القرن الرابع الهجرى. أبدع فى رسالته هذه بجمعه لأغلب المصطلحات الطبية، من فوائد التقاطها من بطون الكتب والكناشات وأوضح عن ألفاظ هى عند أهل الصناعة معروف، وأتخاذ أشياء لابد منها فى كل يوم. ومن ثم لا توجد تلك الأشياء إلا متفرقة وفى كتب شتى والطارى على هذا العلم يحتاج فى تحصيلها والوقوف على معانيها إلى تكلف شديد ومقاساة تعب كثير، ولعل معاناة النصب فى طلبها يحمله على نبذها جانباً والأعراض عنها.
وأخذ يفسر كل لفظة منها تفسيراً مجرداً من غير أن يذكر أسبابها وعللها، وشرح أتخاذ كل شى شرحاً كافياً وافياً، ولم يعد فيها مذهب اهل هذه الصناعة، وإن كانت اللغة تحتمل غيره وأهل البلدان والأقاليم مختلفون فيها، وجعله عشرة أبواب، وأقرن كل لفظة بصواحبها فى الباب الذى أفرده، لئلا يلتبس بعضها ببعض فيعسر وجدانها ويبعد تناولها فجاء كتابه متميزاً مفيداً جامعاً.
