المدخل لدراسة القانون، هو أحد الدروس الأساسية لطلبة السنة الأولى، فى كليات الحقوق كافة، على اختلاف مذاهبها، وقد تختلف التسمية من مؤلف إلى آخر، بين مبادئ القانون، أو أصول القانون، إلى المدخل لدراسة العلوم القانونية، إلا أن جوهر المادة، فى كل الأحوال لا يعدو إلى تعريف طالب الحقوق قبل دراسته لفروع القانون مفصلة، بالمبادئ العامة فى القانون، فالمدخل لدراسة القانون وأصول القانون ما هي إلا مقدمة لدراسة علم القانون، دراسة تساعد الطالب، وتفتح أمامه لدراسة فروع القانون الأخرى.
ولذلك فإنني في هذا المؤلف سأحاول التعرض لتعريف القانون وفروعه ومصادره وأقسامه فى قسم، والتعريف بالحق وأقسامه وأركانه ومصادره وإثباته فى قسم آخر، علما بأني وجدت الاستعانة بأحكام القانون الأردني والعراقي حيث عملت فى جامعة بغداد وجامعة جرش سيجعل من الفائدة المرجوة أعم وأشمل.
وقد أعدنا إصدار الكتاب بطريقة تنسجم مع التشريعات السائدة في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة، ذلك بالاشارة إلى النصوص القانونية الاماراتية كلما امكن ذلك، وبناء على ما تقدم آثرت أن تكون تسمية هذه الطبعة "بالمدخل لدراسة العلوم القانونية على ضوء التشريعات في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة".
القسم الأول نظرية القانون وفيه الفصل التمهيدى التعريف بالقانون، ضرورته وخصائصه ثم الفصل الأول تقسيم القانون وأنواعه، الفصل الثانى مصادر القانون وأخيراً الفصل الثالث تطبيق القانون، القسم الثانى نظرية الحق وفيه فصل تمهيدى ثم الفصل الأول أركان الحق، الفصل الثانى أنواع الحقوق، الفصل الثالث مصادر الحقوق وأخيراً الفصل الرابع استعمال الحق وإثباته.
