ما هو وضع عرب الأهواز في إيران، ما هي علاقتهم مع الدولة المركزية في طهران في ظل الجمهورية الإسلامية، وهل اختلف وضعهم في ظل الثورة الإسلامية عما كان عليه في ظل الديكتاتورية الشاهنشاهية؟
هذا ما يحاول الأستاذ جابر أحمد أن يجيب عليه عبر المقالات التي كتبها عن تاريخ هذا الشعب، والنضالات التي قام بها للحصول على حقوقه، بعد أن ساهم بفعالية في انتصار الثورة الإيرانية ضد حكم الطاغوت، وخاصة في السنوات الأولى للثورة.
وفي ضوء دراسته لأشكال الحكم في مختلف مناطق العالم، وفي ظل تعاظم النضال من أجل الديمقراطية وحق الشعوب في تقرير مصيرها، فإنه يرى بأن الفيدرالية هي الشكل الأفضل لوضع إيران للحفاظ على وحدتها من جهة، ولحصول الأقليات القومية من عرب وبلوش وأكراد وتركمان وغيرهم على حقوقهم في ظل جمهورية يتساوى فيها المواطنون في الحقوق والواجبات.
ولا شك أن تحديات كبيرة تواجه الجمهورية الإيرانية في الوقت الحاضر، في ظل نزوعها لاستثمار الطاقة النووية للأغراض السلمية والتوجه الأمريكي والأوروبي لحرمانها من هذا الحق، واستثارة كافة الفئات الاجتماعية والقومية للوقوف وراء القيادة السياسية لتحصين الوضع الداخلي من أية تدخلات خارجية. في الوقت الذي يرى المؤلف أن تحصين الوضع الإيراني من الداخل يتم عبر تحقيق الديمقراطية لأبناء الشعب بقومياته المختلفة، وبالتالي إلغاء أشكال التمييز كافة، وحصول الجميع على حقوقهم، بما في ذلك تمتعهم بنصيبهم في الثروة التي تتدفق من تحت أرجلهم.
(عرب الأهواز)، جزء من مكونات الجمهورية الإيرانية، من واجبنا أن نحافظ وندافع عن وحدة هذا الجار الذي و قف إلى جان أمتنا العربية في معركتها القومية في فلسطين، وقدم الكثير من الشهداء إضافة إلى الدعم المتواصل المالي والسياسي لكل المناضلين لتحرير الجنوب اللبناني وفلسطين. في الوقت الذي لا تزال هناك قضايا عالقة خليجياً مع جيرانها على الجزر الثلاث التي احتلها شاه إيران بدفع من الولايات المتحدى الأمريكية.. وبالتالي فإن تفهم الوضعية الإيرانية وموقف الأقليات فيها ضروري في هذه المرحلة من الصراع ضد برامج قوى الهيمنة العالمية.
