ترعرع أبو حسين الاحوازي في ناحية من نواحي مدينة المحمرة العريقة والمعروفة تسمى بمنطقة المعمورية في يناير عام 1944م، ولأنه كان من أسرة عربية أصيلة وهي بيت معارج المعروفة بنخوتها وعروبتها وأصالتها، لم يغمض له جفن منذ أن فتح عينيه على الإحتلال الفارسي للمنطقة العربية، وما أن اشتد عوده واخضر شاربه حتى حمل السلاح على كتفه وهو ابن الثامنة عشرة، قارع الإحتلال بنفسه وشكل خلايا مناضلة مع أقرانه وغاص في لهوات المقاومة والتحرير من داخل أرضه وخارجها، وكما سترون حين تغورون معي في الأحداث المروية في هذا الكتاب وخاصة أحداث الأربعاء السوداء التي عايشها المناضل، بأنه كان مثالاً رائعاً للعربي المناضل الذي يقضي جل عمره من أجل قضيته الاولى وهي تحرير وطنه وإسترجاع حقوقه العربية.
