كان يا ما كان في قديم الزمان، ملكة تكره الأفكار والكلمات فقررت أن تسجن كل الكتب وكل الأغاني وكل الضحكات وكل الأفكار. استغرب الناس، وبدؤوا يرسمون عوضا عن ذلك ويخربشون، فامتلأت جدران المدينة بكلماتهم. فغضبت الملكة غضبا شديدا وقررت أن تقيّد كل الجدران على الجدران بالسلاسل والأصفاد وتجرها إلى السجون. فبنى الناس جدرانا أخرى مكانها وعادوا يكتبون ويرسمون ويخربشون. فاحتارت الملكة ماذا تفعل كي تتخلص من كل هذه الكلمات مرة أخرى. اقترح وزيرها الطيب أن تقبال الملكة ابنته لأنها ذكية وقارئة ولربما كان لديها حل ما. قابلت الملكة ابنة الوزير فقالت لها إن الأفكار والضحكات لو سجناها فستطلع من أماكن أخرى. ستطلع كالزهور من السطوح والتراب والهواء ولربما طلعت من رأسنا وأذنينا كذلك. استمتعت الملكة بصورة الزهور التي ستخرج من أذنيها ورأسها ويديها وحاولت ألا تضحك حاولت وحاولت، لكنّ الضحكات والأفكار والكلمات والدمعات يستحيل أن تسجن..يستحيل أن تهلك...
