لقد غطى التحليل الجوانب الأساسية التي من المفروض كحد أدنى أن يغطيها مثل تفسير المصطلحات والمفاهيم، وإستعراض تاريخي للجوء سواء محلياً او إقليمياً أو دولياً، وتلخيص موجز للنظريات التي تفسر الهجرة واللجوء، وغطى التحليل التشريعات والقوانين الدولية والإتفاقيات الدولية والإقليمية الناظمة للهجرة واللجوء.
وينقلنا الباحث الدكتور محمد فرحان قرباع من التفسيرات النظرية والقانونية إلى الدخول في صلب الموضوع الذي هو بصدده، من حيث إستعراضه لموجات اللجوء، وما رافقها من تهديدات أمنية مباشرة (عسكرية وبوليسية)، أو تهديدات غير مباشرة على الأمن المجتمعي والماثل في تأزيم الخدمات، الإزدحام، ونقص فرص العمل أمام الأردنيين، وإرتفاع تكاليف المعيشة، وإرتفاع إيجارات المساكن والمحلات التجارية.
لقد لجأ الباحث إلى الأسلوب الإحصائي المباشر الذي يقيس اتجاه المؤشرات الأمنية مع زيادة أعداد اللاجئين السوريين، مع أن هذا الأسلوب الربطي عليه مآخذ إحصائية، إلا أنه يعطي مؤشراً عاماً على حجم التحدي الذي يواجهه الأردن في مختلف القطاعات والميادين.
يغطي هذا الكتاب نقصاً واضحاً في أزمة اللاجئين السوريين وهو الجانب الامني بمفهومه الشامل، وهو لا شك يفتح الباب على مصراعيه للمهتمين والباحثين لإجراء المزيد من البحوث الهامة والضرورية لبلد كالأردن عانى كثيراً من هذه الأزمة.
