يشكل العنوان "من أغاني الصياد" مفتاحاً للفكرة المتسلطة على النص عند محمود حمد لتكون هي وعناصر الطبيعة أقنعة الشاعر للولوج إلى عالمه الداخلي، والبوح باعتمالات النفس / الشاعرة، وقد تشكلت في النص بغنائية حزينة ترنّم بها صياد "لم يعرف شيئاً / أكثر من مزج الأيام / برائحة الجبل / الساكن في عينيه / يتوضأ بالليل / ويصنع شاي الحلم / على جمرِ (السمر) ويضحك / كي ينصف ليلته / من قلقٍ طيني / في مدنٍ تؤلمه ذكرى / حين يعود". وبقراءة هذا النص، وما يتبعه من نصوص، تتراءى للقارىء في ضوء آفاقها صورة شعرية لمساء ذلك الصياد الجالس في فضاء الطبيعة، وقد تهادت إلى روحه عبر أشذائها الفواحة روائح الطفولة، والأهل، والوطن؛ وتداعت إلى ذكرياته عبر أندائها العبقة ذكرياته الغائبة، وصورها المنبعثة من ذاك الزمان البعيد، بأيامه الآفلة، ولياليه الغاربة. "الآن مدّيني / بصبرك مرتين / طفولتي وروائح البرد / المُباغت في الحجارة / سدرة الماضينَ / أرواح القطا الآتي من / الصيف العنيد". هكذا يشارك الشاعر الصياد ذكرياته، مثلما يشارك الشعر الشاعر وجوده.
