ففى الفصل الأول تناولنا ما أصاب بيئة الأعمال الحديثة بتأثير إتساع دائرة المنافسة كونياً وزيادة حدتها من ناحية وشده قصر دورة حياة المنتج بتأثير تسارع الإبتكارات سعياً لإرضاء العملاء من ناحية أخرى. وتأثيراً ذلك على مفاهيم وأساليب وأدوات المحاسبة الإدارية.
وعرضنا فى الفصل الثانى لمفاهيم وتقنيات ونماذج المحاسبة الإدارية والخاصة بإدارة تكلفة الجودة, ثم إدارة الوقت سواء الوقت المستخدم فى الإنتاج أو الوقت المستغرق لتلبية طلبات العملاء والذى يمثل تحدياً للمحاسب الإدارى.
أما الفصل الثالث فخصص لتناول أساليب ونماذج تقييم الأداء القطاعى للأقسام المكونة للمؤسسة ومايربط بها من سلوكيات مديري هذه الأقسام.
وأفردنا الفصل الرابع كاملاً لتقديم دراسة للقيمة الإقتصادية المضافة كمقياس للأداء شاع إستخدامه خلال التسعينيات ومازال يثير كثيراً من الجدل ويحقق مزيداً من الشيوع.
وفى الفصل الخامس قدمنا عرضاً لكل من النموذج الإقتصادى والنموذج المحاسبى للتسعير فى الفترتين القصيرة الطويلة من حيث أسسه وطرقه نظرياً وعلمياً.
وفى الفصل السادس والأخير عرضنا لقضية لا مركزية الإدارة ومشاكل التسعير الداخلى لما يتم تبادله بين أقسام المؤسسة وعلاقة ذلك بسلوكيات المديرين والعاملين.
