ليس من دور القراءة أن تشهد بقيمة النّصوص، حتّى يحبّها القارئ ويعجب بها، بل دورها أن تحوّل الحبّ الفطريّ إلى فهم عميق وأحكام القيمة إلى أحكام وجود، وأن تكشف عن المنطق الذي ينبني عليه الأثر، وعمّا يميّز ذلك الأثر من سواه.
وهذه غاية دون الفوز بها تشبّع بالنّصّ لا بدّ أن يحصل، وقراءات له ينبغي أن تتكرّر، وتمثّل لمسالك عباراته وطرق صياغته يجب أن يتوفر.
بهذه الأفكار قرأنا الإشارات الإلهيّة، وفي ضوئها سمحنا لأنفسنا بالقول بأنّ التكرار أسلوب جامع في هذا النصّ منه انطلقنا في دراسة إيقاعه ومعناه، وإليه استندنا في الكشف عن المراجع التي طفت على سطحه والأصوات التي انبثقت من قراره وتعالت من جنباته.
نعم، لقد تبيّن لنا بعد قراءة نصّ الإشارات وتقليب النظر فيه أن سمة التكرار مهيمنة عليه وجارية فيه، على نحو يرشحّها أن تكون سبيلاً إلى البحث في آليّات الكتابة وطرائق البناء في هذا الكتاب.
فالتّكرار - وهذا ما نسعى إلى بيانه - لم يكن في الإشارات مجرّد ظاهرة جزئيّة أو وجهاً بلاغياً فرعيّاً، بل هو أسلوب جامع، ومقوّم عامّ ينتظم أبنية الكلام ومستوياته أصواتاً وكلمات وتراكيب وجملاً ومعاني، ويشمل أيضاً هياكل الرّسائل التي يتكوّن منها نصّ الإشارات.
