في مقاله (الرئيس الرابع والأربعون المجمّد) يرصد ديفيد مايكل جرين، أستاذ العلوم السياسية بجامعة هوفسترا في نيويورك خمس مشكلات رئيسية في شخصية باراك أوباما رئيساً، أولاها أنه لا يفهم الأولويات، وثانيتها ليست لديه على ما يبدو قناعة قوية تذكر في أي قضية تطرح أماه، وثالثتها أنه يكتفي إلى حد كبير بصيانة الوضع الراهن الذي لا يزال يدمر البلاد خدمة لقلة حاكمة جشعة.
ورابعتها أنه أساساً لا يفهم القوى الخارجية ودور الرئاسة الحديثة، وخامسة تلك المشكلات تتمثل في أنه يبقى على أسوأ جهاز إتصالات في البيت الأبيض منذ عهد جيمي كارتر، يطوف ممراته بحثاً عن فريسة.
إن هذه الصفات في تكوين رئيس أقوى دولة في العالم تظهر جلية في آخر حدث أمريكي يتمثل بتسرب النفط في خليج المكسيك والذي لم تلح بعد أي إحتمالية الإمكانية إستيعابها بعد أن وصل المتسرب منها شواطئ ولايات فلوريدا ومسيسبي وألاباما وربما لا أمل في توقفها وهي تزحف للنيل من شواطئ ولايات أخرى.
ناهيك عن ضعفه الواضح في معالجة ملفات العجز الإقتصادي الذي ضرب الولايات المتحدة جراء العدوان الأمريكي على العراق وأفغانستان والحرب الأولى على غزة.
كما تظهر جلية مواصفات الرئيس أوباما آنفة الذكر في تعاطيه مع أكبر حدث هز العالم وهو الهجوم الإسرائيلي على أسطول الحرية الذي راح ضحيته تسعة قتلى وعدد كبير من الناشطين العزل الذين كانوا على متنه.
بقي باراك أوباما أسبوعياً في صمت كأن لم يحدث شيء، وعندما تكلم نطق كفراً، فأمن إسرائيل يأتي المقام الأول، ولا مشكلة على الإطلاق في قيام إسرائيل بقرصنة بحرية ومجزرة نكراء حركت كل جماد ولم تحرك الحكومة الأمريكية.
مقالات هذا الكتاب تناقش السياسات الحمقاء التي تنتهجها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وإسرائيل في داخليهما وخارجيهما والتي ستقودمها بالتالي إلى حتفهما، فأعظم الشرور التي يوقعها الإنسان على إنسان آخر، كما يقول برتراند رسل، تتأتى من أناس يؤمنون إيماناً عميقاً بشيء، هو في الحقيقة زائف.
كما يستضيف الكتاب في نهايته مقالين بترجمة (أحمد إبراهيم)، إذ يسلط هذان المقالان الضوء على زاوية أخرى مهمة ضمن تداعيات العدوان الإسرائيلي على أسطول الحرية.
