شاعر سعودي، ولد في إحدى حارات المدينة المنورة عام 1965م.
وعندما بلغ الثالثة من العمر انتقل إلى الرياض مع جدته حيث تقيم، وبعد عامين عاد مرة أخرى للمدينة، ودخل الجامعة في جدة.
وبعد التخرج وإلى الآن يعمل باحثاً بيئياً في الهيئة الوطنية لحماية الحياة الفطرية وإنمائها.
البوق متزوج ولديه ثلاثة أبناء إبراهيم 10 سنوات، حسين 7 سنوات، ورنا 14 سنة.

" نعومة " " طفلةٌ تمسح وجهك بأناملها .. لا تعرف أنك تولد من أطراف أصابعها " .
" حبٌ " . " تسالني إن كنت أحبُّها ، وإن كنت أحب أختها التي تكبرها ، وإن كنت أحب أمها ، وإن كنت أحب عامِلتها المنزلية .. ثم تتركني حين تطمئن على الحب ... طفلةٌ في الثالثة ! " .
" قطراتٌ " . " حين تخنقني الدمعة أصمت ، كي لا تنحدر قطراتُ صوتي على صفحة الهواء " .
" تحليق " . " على صفحة الرمل .. نكتب خطواتنا .. والموج يمسحها " .
" كآبة " . " أبحرت سفينة حزني .. سأغرق في الكآبة " .
" عرش " " لا أستقام الوزن .. ولا جاءت القافية .. القصيدة كانت على عرشها غافية " .
" سؤال " " يسألونك عن الجسد ؟ قل : يعزف سحره في الروح . أما الروح : فمن أمرِ ربي .. وما أوتينا من الحبّ إلا قليلاً .
" مجاز " " تلميحها تصريح ومجازها قمر في ليل الحقيقة .. "
" مرآة " " الشجر مرآة الفصول " .
"أسئلة " " هي في كل مكانٍ . الأسئلة تفتح أبواب المعرفة .. ألا بيننا .. الأسئلة تفتح أبواب السجون .. " .
" تديّر " " أتأمل كل الوجوه .. أبحر في خَلقِها .. الله – جل الله – أعلم عن سرّها .
" قلوب " " ما لا تبلغه الأفهام .. تفهمه القلوب " .
" رقص " ترقص الباليه على ورقةٍ بيضاء .. أناملها حين تكتب " .
" ذهول " " مذهل أن يكون الحنان ربيب الحرمان .
" عمى " " الخطأ أعمى .. والمحبة بصيرة " .
" تبصّر " ، " أنت لا ترى أبعد مما تعرف " . " كشف " " العُري توأم البوح .. كلاهما يولد من الكشف .
" قيد " " الكتابة قيد .. والشفاهة اطلاق " .
هي استباحة الحروف للمعاني .. لترسم تشكيلات المراسم احتفاليه في حضرة الخيال ... مدناً يرسمها الكاتب موشاة بألوان الحياة ، تشعّ رقة .. وعبقاً وعمقاً .. وهي على سهولة ألفاظها عميقة ، تأخذ أبعاداً فلسفية حيناً .. شاعريةً أحياناً ... تتهادى على وقع وتر الحياة الذي يعزف عليه الكاتب ألحان الوجود .
