أما السيدة التي تقوم الرحلة والتي تشير لها الكاتبة بالرمز، فهي سيدة متدربة على السلاح، مجربة، كفوءة، قد تكون لها أهداف غير معلنة، خاصة وأن تلك الحقبة -أوائل القرن الماضي- كانت حقبة تحاول فيها الدول الغربية السيطرة على طرق القوافل والتموين والبضائع إلى الشرق، لذلك كان قطار الشرق السريع الذي تسير معه الرحلة بعض المراحل، فالجميع يستكشف الطرق ويحاول السيطرة على ممتلكات الدولة العثمانية التي انهارت بعد الحرب العالمية الأولى، وهو على ما يبدو تاريخ الرحلة، رغم أن الكاتبة لم تذكر أي تاريخ، سوى ما استفدناه من تاريخ طبع ونشر الكتاب، وهو عام 1918م. رحلة ممتعة ومغامرات مشوقة، تكشف الكثير من أسرار الشرق...
