كاتب ومخرج مصرى، تخرج فى قسم الإعلام بالجامعة الأمريكية 2010، عمل منتجا ومخرجا فى مؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام، حصل على جوائز أدبية عديدة منها جائزة مهرجان القراءة للجميع 1999 و2001، وأوسكار رجل المستحيل 2005، ومسابقة مادلين لامونت للقصة القصيرة 2006، وجائزة المسابقة الأدبية المركزية من وزارة الثقافة عن روايته "كل شىء مباح فى بيروت".
يعمل حاليا فى مجال الأفلام الروائية والتسجيلية، أخرج أول أفلامه القصيرة بعنوان "أخر سبع دقائق" ورشح لأفضل فيلم فى مسابقة "صنع فى قطر"فى مهرجان الدوحة ترايبكا السينمائى 2011، وحصد فيلمه القصير "طارق" جوائز عديدة فى مصر وشارك فى المسابقة الرسمية لمهرجان الدوحة 2012

الرواية الفائزة بجائزة الهيئة العامة لقصور الثقافة 2010 رواية تدور أحداثها بين مصر ولبنان، شادي خريج الجامعة الأمريكية الذي يتناسى مبادئه السابقة ويلتحق بالعمل في السفارة الأمريكية، صديقه عماد الذي يهرب من رفض والدہ لخطوبة صديقته ندى ويذهب لقضاء إجازة الصيف مع محمود في لبنان، ندى الفتاة الرومانسية التي تهيم حبًّا بعماد تتعرض لحادث تحرش جنسي وبدلًا من أن تساندها أسرتها يصر شقيقها حسام أن يفرض عليها ارتداء الحجاب، وفجأة تشتعل حرب لبنان 2006 لتتحكم في مصير هذہ الشخصيات.
