هذه دراسة أولية تهدف إلى تحليل الكتب المدرسية لمواد الاجتماعيات في مناهج ثلاثة أقطار عربية، وهي: لبنان الأردن وسوريا. وقد اختيرت هذه الأقطار بسبب وجود الفلسطينيين بشكل مكثف فيها، يدرسون مناهجها من خلال مدارس وكالة الغوث أو في مدارسها الحكومية أو الخاصة.
سنحلل الكتب من زاويتين هما: 1- حجم ما كتب فيها عن فلسطين تاريخياً وجغرافياً وضمن مواضيع التربية الوطنية. 2- نوعية ما كتب عن فلسطين والقضية الفلسطينية كمواضيع منفصلة وضمن الإطار العام لمواضيع أخرى متعلقة بالقضية بشكل أو بآخر، بحيث تؤثر على تكوين تفكير الطالب حول موضوع فلسطين والنضال الفلسطيني.
